Trackpoint Advantage
“Exact pinpointing of process failure AND devising the necessary resolution”
Realising that a supplier will not pass every test, we manage a continuous feedback loop to engineering, highlighting errors in advance before they are allowed to have a large impact.
Tests relate to system requirements and acceptance criteria and will pinpoint exactly where in the process they are failing. An easily identified failure, for example, may be due to lack of capacity, speed or availability. Each of these failings may however require a different yet complex resolution resulting in fundamentally different time and cost implications to the programme. Having included the acceptance criteria in the previous requirements phase ensures that there is no room for misinterpretation as to what the exact requirements were.
Documented proof prior to contract of how we will check for completeness of delivery, and having supplier confirmation of their understanding of these measures leads to significant savings in cost and time and reduces the risk of suppliers not delivering.
“Providing clear and exact details to highlight instances where a supplier is not delivering according to the pre-determined fact based, non- ambiguous model”
Following a rigorous and evidence based bid evaluation process, does not guarantee a fault free delivery. Knowing that there is no room for complacency and ambiguity, particularly in large scale programmes, Trackpoint takes particular care in the delivery phase, testing as each piece of the project is delivered.
Some of the common project pitfalls include:
Trackpoint has considerable experience in saving time and money during the delivery phase by being able to produce detailed information, modelling and acceptance criteria documented throughout the preceding phases.
The Trackpoint solution guarantees 100% coverage of the requirements by the assurance process. The exact meaning of a requirement is ultimately critical. It is not always possible to get a clear understanding directly from a simple business statement, but this can be mitigated by saying how you are going to test for delivery of a requirement.
Documenting the test specifications before any programme starts, will result in significant financial savings in the long run. In addition, stating what has to be delivered and how suppliers are going to be measured on what they deliver ahead of time ensures that any resultant system doesn’t have to go through numerous rebuilds due to non delivery and non compliance.

“Phasing of payment schedules against delivery”
With such an exact testing process, it is also possible to schedule payment against delivery, documenting upfront what the percentage of payment each test represents. This also provides the opportunity to set out payment schedules in a non disputable way, removing any subjectivity from the process.
